Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an American actress and singer from Salinas, California.

Her father is of Irish and Native American descent, and her mother, a native of Manila,Philippines, is of Filipino-Chinese-Spanish descent. Hudgens rose to prominence playingGabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. Her debut album, V, entered the Billboard200 at number 24, and was later certified Gold. She also released a second album titled Identified. Hudgens earned critical acclaim for her role in the film Bandslam.
